Today’s Health Activist Writer’s Month Challenge prompt: If I had a superpower, how would I use it?
At first, I thought it would be to get rid of hepatitis C, and although that would be a great superpower to have, it seems small compared to all the many ways our world is challenged. The power to bring peace and tolerance are also qualities I’d like to have, but what I most want is not to have a superpower but that others could recognize their own superpower, one that they already possess– the power to live without fear.
Fear keeps us intolerant, chained to habits and attitudes. Fear keeps us in hostility and pain. Fear hurts everything we do. I believe that we can live without fear—all of us—right now.
